We had a fantastic time exploring Salento with our family, and one of the highlights was the bike rental service available right at the hostel. It made it so convenient for us to hop on bikes and explore the beautiful surroundings together. The staff was incredibly helpful in recommending the best routes and ensuring we had all the necessary equipment. It was a great way for our kids to stay active and enjoy the natural beauty of Salento.
For dads, it would be great if there were more family-friendly activities organized by the hostel.

I recently stayed at Mahalo hostel for a few days and had an amazing experience. The hostel was clean and tidy, and the included breakfast was delicious and filling. The location was perfect, just a short walk from all the main attractions but far enough away from the noise. The highlight of my stay was the receptionist, Magnolia, who was incredibly sweet and made my time in Salento truly enjoyable. She was helpful, funny, and friendly, and I can't recommend Mahalo hostel enough.
Totally recommend this hotel.

The quadruple room at Mahalo Hostel was perfect for our group of friends. The private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer was convenient and clean. We loved having a seating area in the unit to relax and hang out together.
Personally, I found the coffee machine in the rooms to be unnecessary. But I understand that some guests might enjoy having that amenity.
